1. General Product Features of Cast Copper Heating Plate
Cast copper heating plate adopts bent tubular electric heating tubes as heating core, then die-cast or centrifugally cast with high-purity copper alloy housing. It delivers outstanding thermal conductivity, long service life, superior heat retention, robust mechanical performance, shock resistance, anti-deformation, corrosion resistance and anti-electromagnetic interference capacity.
It is a high-efficiency uniform heating component made of high thermal conductivity copper alloy, eliminating hot spots and cold zones on contact surfaces for consistent temperature distribution. Adding thermal insulation on the outer radiation surface and far-infrared sintered layer on the inner heating surface can reduce power consumption by up to 35%.
2. Custom Order Guidelines for Cast Copper Heaters
- Customers shall provide production drawings or physical samples; if unavailable, complete technical requirements must be submitted.
- Rated power can be 1~1.5 times that of equivalent cast aluminum heaters; surface load design range: 1–7.0 W/cm².
- Available shapes: flat plate, right-angle profile, special irregular custom shapes.
- Provide drawings or samples; without them, specify full specs including model, rated voltage and power.
- Standard surface load range for cast copper heaters: 2.5 ~ 4.0 W/cm².

4. Main Application Fields
Cast copper heating plate must be firmly fixed with full contact between effective heating area and workpiece; dry firing without load is strictly forbidden. Single-sided heating versions can be customized with internal thermal insulation cotton and external stainless steel housing. Widely adopted in cable machinery, automobile manufacturing, petroleum equipment, food processing, medical & health industry, laboratories, electronics, metallurgy and metal mold equipment requiring high precise temperature control.
5. Safety Operation Precautions for Cast Copper Heaters
- Operating voltage shall not exceed ±10% of rated value; ambient relative humidity ≤95%, free of explosive or corrosive gas.
- Terminal wiring must be arranged outside heating and insulation layers, with reliable equipment grounding. Avoid contact with corrosive media, explosive substances and water. Lead wires shall withstand long-term terminal temperature and heating load; do not over-tighten terminal screws to prevent thread damage.
- Store in dry environment. If insulation resistance drops below 1 MΩ after long-term storage, bake inside a 200℃ oven for 5–6 hours to restore insulation performance, or energize with reduced voltage until resistance recovers.
- Securely fix the heater with full tight contact between heating surface and workpiece; dry firing is prohibited. Clear surface dust and contaminants before use to avoid poor heat dissipation and shortened service life.
- Prevent moisture and pollutants from penetrating magnesium oxide insulation powder at heating tube terminals to eliminate electric leakage risks.

6. Working Principle of Cast Copper Induction Heater
Induction heating principle: A primary coil with more turns and a secondary coil with fewer turns are wound on the same iron core under alternating magnetic field. The voltage ratio equals the coil turn ratio while total energy remains constant. Therefore, the secondary coil generates high current under low voltage.
For bearing induction heaters, the bearing acts as a short-circuited single-turn secondary winding, producing massive heat via high current under low AC voltage while the heater core and magnetic yoke stay at ambient temperature. This induction magnetizes the bearing, so complete demagnetization is required to prevent magnetic metal debris adhesion during operation. All our induction heaters are equipped with automatic demagnetization function.
Metal generates eddy current inside alternating magnetic field and self-heats, widely applied in metal thermal treatment. Thick metal blocks form spiral internal circulating current under electromagnetic induction, converting electric energy into thermal energy absorbed by metal for rapid temperature rise.
This energy-saving equipment preheats or reheats fuel oil installed upstream of combustion systems. Preheating fuel oil to 105℃–150℃ reduces viscosity, achieves full atomization and complete combustion to cut energy consumption. It is extensively used for preheating & secondary heating of heavy oil, asphalt, clear fuel oil and other liquid fuels.
