3. Structural Design Principles for Industrial Heating Tubes
- Thermal expansion, ablation, oxidation and creep deformation shall be fully considered in design to avoid operational malfunctions caused by thermal distortion
- Internal structure shall remain intact and reliable under the maximum material temperature during manufacturing and service
- Welding layout complies with national standards; minimize weld seams on pressure-bearing heating tubes, and arrange welds for easy inspection access
- Housings and attachments of pressure-bearing heating tubes shall meet relevant design codes
- Heating tubes (including terminal ends) shall be fully hermetically sealed
- Tubes used for corrosive media must adopt corrosion-resistant alloy sleeves or protective casings to extend service life
- Wall thickness ≥0.35mm for carbon steel outer tubes; copper/copper alloy casings shall be sized with sufficient mechanical strength for harsh environments
- Minimum bending radius shall be no less than 2.5 times the tube outer diameter
- Bending geometry shall ensure the inner end of lead rods sits on straight tube sections with a minimum 10mm clearance from the bending start point
- Clearance and insulating filler thickness ≥1mm between conductive parts with potential difference >40V, and between conductive components and outer housing; exposed lead wire gap to casing ≥1mm. Special reduced gaps are permitted only via written agreement with enhanced manufacturing standards for stable reliability
- Cross-sectional area of lead-out wires shall be at least 7 times the cross-section of internal heating resistance wire
