4. Operation Instructions for Laboratory Hot Plate

  1. Connect power supply and turn on the main power switch. The green power indicator light stays lit to confirm power input.
  2. Toggle heating switch to activate the unit. Solid red heating lamp = continuous temperature rise; flashing red lamp = constant temperature mode with intermittent heating cycles.
  3. After finishing work, turn off heating switch first to stop heat output. The green power lamp remains illuminated as a safety warning — do not touch the hot surface. Wait at least 1 hour for the working plate to fully cool down before cutting main power supply.

5. Safety Operation Precautions

  1. Rated operating voltage AC220V; must use grounded three-hole socket equipped with residual current protection switch.
  2. Untrained personnel shall not open machine casing or modify internal wiring arbitrarily.
  3. Do not touch heating surface directly by hand to avoid scald injuries.

7.1 Enter Parameter Menu

7.2 Set Target Temperature Value

Under standard display interface, adjust the SV setpoint value via ∧, ∨ and < keys. ∨ decreases value, ∧ increases value; the blinking decimal point marks the editable digit (cursor). Press and hold the key for rapid increment/decrement with two-speed acceleration as the cursor shifts right. The < key moves the blinking cursor directly for fast digit editing; adjust the highlighted digit with ∧ / .

7.3 Auto-Tuning (AT) Operation for PID Parameters

When running AI intelligent PID control, execute Auto-Tuning (AT) to calculate optimized PID coefficients. Under main display page, hold the < key for 2 seconds to enter AT parameter. Use ∧ to switch the lower display window from OFF to ON, then press ○ confirm key to start auto-tuning. The lower screen will flashAtduring calculation. After two temperature oscillation cycles, the internal microprocessor automatically calculates matching PID parameters and exits tuning mode.

To abort tuning early: hold < for 2s to recall AT menu, set ON back to OFF and confirm with ○ key.

Notes: PID values calibrated under different setpoints differ significantly. Always set SV to your most commonly used working temperature before starting auto-tuning; do not change SV during tuning process. Important Reminders
